Next-Gen Ranger - The wait is almost over

Ford has finally taken the covers off the long-awaited Next Generation Ranger, the newest version of the best-selling Ford in Australia and the best Ranger ever built. The Next Gen Ranger is packed with new features and technology for you to get the most out of the Ranger life.

A bold new design has introduced many exciting new additions for the Ranger, with all body styles now fitting a ‘Euro’ size pallet, a rear box step to make getting in the cargo area safer, and a wider stance that accentuates the muscular and athletic design of the Ranger. To enhance the off-road ability of the Next Gen Ranger the wheelbase has been increased resulting in a 30º approach and 25.6º departure angle. Inside the bold new design continues with the introduction of the “Coast-to-coast” instrument panel featuring either a 10.1” or 12” (on the Wildtrak) LCD Touchscreen. 

Thanks to this new design, this is the most versatile Ranger yet, providing you with better ways to work. From the clamp pockets on the end of the tailgate to the customisable bedliner where you can shape it your way by dropping in dividers such as timber or MDF. There is plenty of power where you need it with USB inputs throughout the cabin and a 12V outlet directly in the tray. And with the introduction of Zone Lighting never will you have to worry about working or playing into the night. You can control a network of lights either on the touchscreen or remotely using the FordPass App to illuminate the perimeter of the vehicle. 

We also welcome the Next-Gen Power and Capability with the introduction of the V6 3.0L Diesel engine to the lineup. There are now more powertrain options delivering more power and torque with impressive fuel economy. Mated to this is our E-Shifter bringing a new level of high-tech control to your fingertips along with the new selectable driving modes allowing you to optimise performance for different surfaces and road conditions. 

The Next-Generation theme continues with the technology onboard the Ranger, packed with smart functionality. Wireless charging is now available, along with a Smart Climate control system with additional rear vents meaning maximum comfort for everyone in the cabin. The New Digital Instrument Cluster elevates your driving experience by bringing you more information and greater access to the right vehicle data when you need it. 

Coming in all the variants we have come to know and love from the XL to the Wildtrak, there has been the permanent addition of a Ranger Sport added to the lineup with dark accents and 18” wheels giving it that further athletic edge.
